Strike Force Youth Shooting Team OR

Hi I’m one of the head coach’s for a new Shooting competition team called Strike Force  Youth  Shooting Team Oregon and need steel targets for kids to practice it has to be AR500 quality with no rivets, holes etc.… have a link for specs from action targets. Next Included is  a link to the website. and picture of what the targets look like If there an estimate and bill of if you could forward this to the welding department it would be of great help 5 12” plates 4 14 x12” plates mounted on a free floating swivel that tolerances up has to be tilted at 15degrees facing down. I thought this would be a good way for the scholastic team to mitigate cost and learning in the drafting department and steel welding for a project are next practice is Dec 7 hope school not out yet but thank for your time in reading this. I was hoping the welding department at our local community colleges could help us mitigate these cost by building and donating it to us so its worth a try. Once again the team has very limited funds and everything has to come from fund raiser to purchase this steel but if we can make it happen we will do are best to raise the money for the purchase what we need to be effective team practice.  Action target wants 2k for complete kit that includes shipping if we make them here local I can pick them up in my truck , we only need about 9 targets i remember as a student buying steel from the college very cheap and making very cool projects when I took welding class. Any other Ideas are welcome we can rent steel targets but in the long run this dose not seem cost effective.

Steel or no steel for the team not an option

The very first blog, on this site was written and taken from email I sent to local colleges around my area. To teachers I knew and worked with in the past.  With this all being said (another one bites the dust) but keep moving forward steel might be expensive but will make do until the time is right. The Team has to fund raise or get the community to want to make it happen. Taboo; pistols  and youth , two words people may cringe hearing.  Here is my response .

“Thanks to all, this information is great, I understand the tight situation. If the team raises money to order  plates, we will start from there. This team and and SSSF Foundation is a title 10 sport that makes it available to be able to attach to local high schools, colleges etc.. once under the school more grants come along.  College students are allowed to compete in Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation,  Sports Pistol Program (SPP). Were always looking for more coaches volunteers in expertise exactly to the people this messages went out and to either move into the school districts or become the next big free thing youth can do locally as community. Thank you For your time in reading Please don’t forget to share the links.”

“it time to call uncle Bob.”  “I wish”.

“He Has Aspergers” and Everything Else I Never Wanted To Hear About My Son

Both My sons are on the spectrum one 8 on the Team the other little one 5 early intervention , i did not want or believe it either, it took a long time, but it gets better!

Do you hear that?

Come closer.

That’s the sound of my heart breaking.

My son has always loved the ocean. His eyes are the color of the sea, changing from blue to green with the swell of the tide.  And my love for him is an ocean, an overwhelming force which is sometimes calm and steady, and other times full of conflict.

A mother’s love is like the continuous miracle of the sea. It begins in the ocean of your womb – but there is something unsettling about the way your baby kicks. So fiercely you feel bruised on the inside.

There is something willful and stubborn about his refusal to come out. He arrives weeks late, and even then – after almost 40 hours of labor.

Your baby is overwhelming and mysterious and brutal, like the ocean. He screams uncontrollably for hours a day, every day. And you bring him to…
